We at Trailblazers work predominantly with mentees who are from BAME backgrounds due to them being over-represented in the prison system. We therefore believe that we have an even greater responsibility to talk about the issues BAME communities face, both in the Criminal Justice System and on a daily basis in society.

At Trailblazers mentoring we will ALWAYS champion and stand in solidarity with black communities. We also understand that we still have more work to do in order to ensure even more inclusivity.

Moving forward, we will pay more attention to this, continually educate ourselves, have more conversations and do as much as we possibly can. We understand that this is not just about being
non-racist, but being anti-racist.

We stand together on this.
