Transforming Rehabilitation

Transforming Rehabilitation
Trailblazers are delighted to be working in partnership with Social Finance. Funded by the Social Investment Business (SIB) we have secured a grant from their Investment and Contract Readiness Fund (ICRF) to help us further refine our market proposition to Prime Contractors whom are bidding for contracts under the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) Transforming Rehabilitation reforms.

Trailblazers has over 15 years’ experience of providing a one to one mentoring, through the gate and resettlement service and therefore we are naturally keen to engage with the Governments proposed reforms. In the last two years we have significantly grown our services across England and are now working with more young offenders in more prisons than at any other point during our fifteen year history.

We will spend the ICRF grant in a variety of ways to further strengthen, underpin and demonstrate the impact of our volunteer led mentoring service. If you are a Tier one provider seeking a credible delivery partner and we have not as yet spoken, do get in touch with our Chief Executive (info@trailblazersmentoring.org.uk).

Hon Stephen McPartland MP, Trailblazers Patron and Chair of the Child & Youth Crime APPG says:

I am thrilled to be involved with the work of Trailblazers as one of their Patrons and delighted they have secured an investment from the SIB. The successful resettlement of young prisoners is high on the Government’s agenda and I will be doing all I can to ensure Trailblazers’ work is replicated across the UK.

Jonathan Flory, Director, Social Finance says:

Social Finance is pleased to be able to support Trailblazers as a charity and highly regarded voluntary organisation seeking to make rehabilitation interventions at the forefront of the Transforming Rehabilitation initiative. We look forward to seeing active engagement from Prime Contractors with Trailblazers and the wider Third Sector creating valuable partnerships focussed on creating real impact in this space.
